It’s been a huge pleasure and a privilege, after a 20+ year career in academia and education, to start HCP and help you reach your goals. I built this site 8 years ago as a way to translate, synthesize, and share some of the best research on language, literacy and learning from the education sector into the health sector.
it’s been incredibly meaningful and exciting to take these concepts and this research and see how it helps my clients. See it really working. See clients find new ways of being smart together, new ways to extend and enrich their work, new ways of tapping in to the expertise and experience of their teams, new ways to collaborate, new tools to reach their goals.
Over the years, HCP has created many original resources to support your action and innovation. These resources don’t treat people like empty vessels. It assumes that people are already making meaningful decisions every day — and that good learning respects, expands, and honors that knowledge. That’s true whether it’s a digital resource, live workshop, or something in between.
The funding landscape has shifted. But the need for this kind of work hasn’t. In fact, healthcare and life sciences organizations increasingly recognize that equity is a core business driver — not just a moral or regulatory imperative.
The content I’ve developed bridges that gap: it’s built from research that centers equity, but it speaks in the language of operations, outcomes, and cross-sector performance. That’s what makes it both relevant and scalable now. Take a look around and see what’s here for you!

Our COURSES + ACTION feature world-class instructional design and a dynamic hybrid model.
Part live, part on-demand, these exclusive courses make use of the efficient flipped-classroom model. Learners can access the course from any device, on our distraction-free platform. They watch course videos at their own pace.
When all learners complete the course, we meet live as a group for one hour, to follow through on what has been learned and take action.
Ultimately, we want to reduce avoidable health disparities in quality, access and outcomes. You’ve got the data, you know where the disparities are, and now, you need to take action. That’s where our hybrid courses come in.
